Over the course of your participant's usage of the app, you may see the following message appear under their ID on the dashboard along with the box around it turning red:
Depending on your trial and what period your participant is in, it may say "Treatment: Follow Up", "Follow Up", "Screening: Follow Up", etc.
This is simply notifying you that the system has noticed that the participant may be having trouble using the app and might need some follow-up assistance using it.
The following are possible scenarios that may cause the "Follow Up" message to appear:
- The participant has not connected their device to the internet for an extended period of time, causing their doses to show as Pending upload.
- The participant has missed multiple consecutive doses
- The participant has been self-reporting multiple consecutive doses
- The participant has missed multiple consecutive questionnaires (if they are in a non-video dosing regimen)
For Example: in the image shown above, the participant is in the Treatment period and has not connected their device to the internet in over 3 days.
This prompts the dashboard to show the "Treatment: Follow Up" message and display the box around it in red. This indicates to the site coordinator that the participant may need some assistance.
Once the participant connects their device and uploads the pending doses, the "Follow Up" message will disappear and the box will change from red to white.
Please note: The "Follow Up" message does not indicate that the participant has been moved into the Follow Up period.
